Construction to begin on long-awaited Harbor Drive seawall construction project
Construction will begin soon on the Harbor Drive seawall project, and go through the winter.
Work is set to begin on the $18 million dollar seawall construction project behind the DECC.
Leaders lifted the golden shovels on Monday.
The project will widen the park like area, add pedestrian and cycling paths, and shore up the failing seawall.
Bonding money and federal grant and some city funds are paying for the costs.
Construction will go through the winter and through next year. There will also be some lane closures.
