Crews battle Friday morning wildland fire in West Duluth
Around 9:30 on Friday morning, crews from the Duluth Fire Department and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources were dispatched to a wildland fire in West Duluth.
Upon arrival, authorities found a 2.5-acre wildland fire with 10-foot flame length and were able to attack the fire with the help of local residents before it reached the BNSF railroad tracks at the location.
No injuries were reported during the incident and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
