Cat killed, house total loss in Lakewood Township Fire
Crews are fighting a residential fire in Lakewood Township (WDIO).
One cat was killed and a home is a total loss after a house fire on Beech Street in Lakewood Township outside of Duluth on Wednesday, April 9th.
The two-story home was a total loss with damage estimated at $125,000.
No human injuries were reported, but one person was displaced by the fire.
The fire is being investigated by the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshal, though the Sheriff’s Office notes that no foul play is suspected.
Lakewood Fire, Duluth Fire, Air Guard Fire, Gnesen Fire, Normanna Fire and Rice Lake Fire responded to the scene.
