Successful House of Hearts 2025 on the books

The 2025 House of Hearts raised $163,000 for Project Joy over the weekend.

A big showing of support for hungry kids during the 2025 Cenovus Energy – Superior Refinery House of Hearts.

The bonspiel at the Duluth Curling Club brought in over $163,000 for Project Joy.

Project Joy is the non-profit that aims to address childhood hunger across the region. The Plys family founded this in honor of the late Patrick Plys, a Duluth hall of famer who fought brain cancer with the motto ‘I Choose Joy.’

Curlers came from around the world come to Duluth to support the fundraiser.

One of the longtime celebrity skips, Frank McCourt, shared why he loves this bonspiel. “The cause is fabulous. The Plys family works so hard at this. And the organization for House of Hearts is like a big family.”

This was the 22nd annual event, and they’ve now hit the $1 million dollar mark for non-profits.

House of Hearts is grateful for all the community and business support of the bonspiel.
