Three Northland high school robotics teams competed in an international competition in Houston this week.
Denfeld Nation Automation (DNR), the Iron Mosquitos, and the Hermantown Talons all traveled to Texas to compete in the world championship. Over 600 teams participated in this year’s competition from Wednesday to Saturday.
The Iron Mosquitos are a team comprised of players from Babbitt, Cook, and Ely. The team was picked by the 4th-ranked alliance for the Milstein field playoffs.
The Hermantown Talons would like to thank the community for the ongoing support.
“It just really makes you feel small, but also like you have a big impact on what’s happening,” said Hermantown High School student Noah Blomquist. “It’s just cool to see how many people get into the sport and enjoy it as much as I do.”
