Destination Duluth announces new changes
Destination Duluth held their fifth annual ‘Celebration of Photographers’ event at the Great Lakes Aquarium on Monday evening. At the event the company announced a new era in branding, along with a brand-new website model.
The new branding focuses on four aspects of living ‘up north’ that makes the area unique. These four aspects are Duluth’s water, land, light and people.
Destination Duluth also launched a new website and online store, which will be the hub for all things Duluth, and highlight images taken by local photographers that highlight what makes Duluth special for those who get to experience the city.
“Photographers are unsung heroes. I mean, they’re out in every sort of weather. In fact, the worse the weather, usually the better the photos get. But they literally bring in thousands of people to Duluth every year. And encourage people to be from Duluth too, to make Duluth their destination for life. And because, I’ve always said, a picture is worth a thousand people,” said Jerry Thoreson, managing director for Destination Duluth.
