Dubh Linn Brew Pub is prepped for their 19th annual St. Patrick’s Day celebrations
It’s almost time to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. And Dubh Linn Brew Pub in Duluth is getting ready for the festivities, which will be their 19th annual.
Mike Maxim, co-owner, explained that his grandmother immigrated here from Ireland. So St. Patrick’s Day is really an important holiday. “It’s one of my favorite days of the year. There’s a lot going on, but everyone coming in is so happy,” he said.
They’ve organized a family-friendly event for Sunday, which includes music, Ceili dancing lessons, green beads, games and prizes. “I’ve got young kids, so it’s fun to have something for them.”
Plus, you can’t forget about the food.
“We cook about 600 pounds of corned beef. So we do corned beef and cabbage, bangers and mash, and our Shepherd’s Pie recipe is something I grew up eating,” Maxim shared.
On Saturday, the 16th, the Bagpipe and Drum Band will perform at 8pm.
Sunday the 17th they open at 10am.
