Duluth Chamber VP to step down

Daniel Fanning, the Vice President of Strategy & Policy and the Executive Director of the Chamber Foundation with the Duluth Chamber of Commerce, has announced he is stepping down from his role.
Fanning made the announcement on LinkedIn following what he describes as a successful Duluth & St. Louis County Capitol Days.
“I’m excited to transition out of my role at the Chamber and into new opportunities in the private sector,” said Fanning in the social media announcement.
“[I’ve] been planning this for a while, and looking forward to digging into new opportunities that allow me to do and focus on what I enjoy most (i.e. business development and advocacy, strategic communications and marketing, supporting economic development opportunities, public policy and outreach, etc), but it’s a bit bittersweet because I’ll miss working with the Chamber team,” continued Fanning.
Fanning had been serving in the role since fall of 2022.
It is currently unknown what next steps will be or who will fill Fanning’s role.
