Duluth citizens talk climate at 2024 Legislative Climate Justice Town Hall
The 2024 Climate Justice Legislative Town Hall meeting was held on Monday evening at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Duluth. According to event organizers, the event was meant to highlight the passing of climate, environmental and transportation bills at the state legislature. Community members were also invited to ask questions and comment on how Duluth will be affected by these bills and what they would like to see from Duluth-based climate organizations in the future.
The event itself was hosted by many local organizations including: Sierra Club North Star Chapter, Minnesota Interfaith Power & Light, Health Professionals for a Healthy Climate, Minnesota Center for Environmental Advocacy, Citizens Climate Lobby – MN Northland Chapter, Izaac Walton League – Duluth Chapter, Twin Ports DSA, Climate>Duluth, Loaves and Fishes Duluth, VoteSolar, We Walk in Duluth, Green New Deal Housing, SEE Change at UMD, and more.
