Duluth Costco reopens after evacuation
Duluth Fire Department responds to refrigerant leak at Costco Wholesale.
The Costco Wholesale in Duluth has reopened to members following an evacuation earlier in the afternoon due to a refrigerant leak on June 24.The Duluth Fire Department was dispatched to the store earlier in the day for reports of smoke in the store.
“Crews arrived to find a refrigerant leak in the store due to some work on the refrigeration system by workers,” explained Kelli Latuska, the Public Information Officer for the City of Duluth. “DFD vented the building and continue to monitor the situation.”
No injuries or symptoms of illness have been reported.
