Duluth Farmers Market kicks off this Mother’s Day Weekend
Duluth Farmers Market kicks off this Mother’s Day Weekend. Every Saturday from 8am-12pm and Wednesday 2pm-5pm the market will be open from May through October. The Duluth Farmers Market is located at the corner of 14th Ave E. and 3rd St.
Vanessa Roers, the owner of Miel, said they have been part of the Duluth Farmers Market for several years. They provide fresh locally made honey, lotions, lip balms and more.
“We just love what we do here. All of our vendors here truly believe in what they’re doing. It’s just a great community. We want to provide good whole food and fun trinkets,” Roers said. “You got maple candies. That’s better than the candy from the store. You’ve got fresh eggs, you get beef sticks. I was just talking to Roper Farms there. It’s great because we support people that are within our community. They come to us and then it’s like this round robin of like, they support us and we support them.”
Roers said they love being part of the Duluth Farmers Market, because everyone collaborates with one another.
“People love our bees, because our bees make all of their gardens so beautiful. We love it, because Duluth loves their gardens,” Roers said. “There’s pollinator friendly gardens. It’s just a great food source for all the bees. The honey tastes so amazing, you literally are getting a taste of Duluth when you buy our honey.”
The Duluth farmers market is still looking for vendors to fill booths from May through June of this year. For more information on the Duluth Farmers Market you can read more here. For other stories happening in Duluth you can read more here.
