Duluth firefighters drop off toys to Duluth Salvation Army
Duluth firefighters help out the Salvation Army with big toy donation on Monday.
For the 23rd year in a row, Duluth firefighters collected cash to buy Christmas presents for area kids.
Monday morning, they spent time at Target and picked up $6800 worth of toys.
Assistant Chief Pete Johnson added, “As firefighters, we often see people on really bad days, and in some really bad situations. I think this is a testament to our members, about how much money they donated to make somebody’s holiday a little better. And hopefully this helps.”
The toy and food distribution will begin on Tuesday this week.
