Alyson Enderle plays Maria and says she grew up with the original film. “I first watched the sound of music when I was 4. I remember watching it with my Grandma for the first time in her house in Lucan Minnesota. And it was a very foundational moment for me.” Enderle is joined on stage with Jace LeGarde who plays Captain Von Trapp.
‘The Sound of Music’ has become an all-time favorite worldwide. Jace LeGarde says, “It’s timeless, it serves the same way today as when it was first produced.”
With so many young actor roles, The Duluth Playhouse has casted double of the Von Trapp Children. With 14 kids total, the older actors were blown away. Jace says, “We are so lucky in this town to have the children that we do. Our children’s theatre program is outstanding. It’s like something I haven’t seen and to have 14 of them with us on this it’s so cool.”
