88-year-old arrested in hit-and-run; Go Fund Me set up for victim
UPDATE: The Duluth Police Department has arrested an 88-year-old man in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Thursday, January 25. Charges are currently pending.
A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the victim, Ray Skoglund. According to the page, Ray is a firefighter with the Duluth Fire Department and the Air National Guard 148th Fighter Wing. He is currently in Intensive Care being treated for two broken legs, a fractured rib and cervical vertebrae, broken nose and jaw, and multiple minor brain bleeds.

Original Story: At approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the 9500 block of Grand Ave for a hit-and-run incident. A 24-year-old male received critical injuries and was transported by Mayo to a local hospital.
A short time later, officers located a vehicle that matched the description, and the suspected driver is being questioned about their involvement.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation and the department’s Traffic Investigations Unit has been called on scene.
