Duluth Police: Person in custody, facing multiple charges

A 34-year-old individual is in custody facing charges of 2nd Degree Assault with a Weapon and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm stemming from an incident that occured on Sunday, March 10. WDIO does not usually name the individual until charges have been filed.

According to Duluth Police, a victim filed a report on Wednesday regarding the individual who allegedly attempted to break into a neighbor’s apartment at 231 E 6^th Street in Duluth over the weekend. The person allegedly shot the door twice with a shotgun.

According to Duluth Police, the Duluth resident was arrested without incident on Thursday, March 14. The individual is also facing 4th Degree Criminal Damage to Property charges.
