One individual hurt in the Duluth shooting near E 3rd Street

At approximately 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, following up on
information provided by the Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force, took a 36-year-old into custody without incident in the city of Columbia Heights, Minnesota on an arrest warrant for 2nd Degree
Assault, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm in a Municipality related to the shooting that occurred on Saturday, May 13 in the 100 block of E 3rd St.
5/16/23 UPDATE: Duluth police have reported that a 59-year-old was struck by a bullet and had non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the man was not involved in the incident. He was treated and released from a local hospital.
Duluth Police are on the scene in the 100th block of East 3rd Street for a report of a shooting.
The report came in around 12:30 Saturday afternoon.
Police say the two individuals involved are said to have known each other.
The suspected male fled the scene after the shooting and the investigation remains ongoing.
The age of the victim has been updated. Originally Duluth Police said the man was 34 years old, this story has been corrected to state the victim is 59-years-old.
