Duluth Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Goal reached thanks to Hartel’s Disposal
In the 11th hour of the fundraising campaign, the Duluth Salvation Army has reached its Red Kettle goal thanks in part to an unexpected Christmas miracle.
Hartel’s Disposal presented a $25,000 check to the organization on Thursday.
This year, the Salvation Army had a $225,000 dollar goal, higher than usual due to cost of inflation. These numbers help determine the budget for the next year.
Just days before Christmas, the organization had worried about hitting the mark, amid a lack of bell ringers and donations.
