Ecolibrium3 Earth Week, have several events about the significance of helping to live more sustainably. Ecolibrium3 welcomed the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) to Lincoln Park to talk more about reducing your carbon footprint. The NREL held a Q&A where people in Duluth were able to ask questions about how to live more sustainably.
Jodi Slick, the CEO of Ecolibrium3, talked more about the significance of Earth Week and NREL’s presentation. “One of the the ways in which we can deal with our carbon footprint is transit. And other micro mobility ways of getting around.” Slick said. “Last night during Earth Week, we actually did a street design session. There’s an opportunity during Eco-Fest tomorrow to actually give input on things like transit as well as street design.”
Slick also explained how you can do more than reducing your carbon footprint, by looking at the Ecolibrium3 Earth Week page on their website. One helpful resource is by looking at the Duluth Citizens Climate Action Plan. “If people come to Eco Fest tomorrow, they’ll have a chance to meet the developer of something called Get Green. That’s a smartphone app that is targeted for Duluth specific climate actions.” Slick said. “That will have you working on everything from the reusable bags to biking to getting an energy audit. Which is probably the number one action people can take.”
