Lowell Elementary School Students learn to plant trees.
Lowell Elementary School Students plant trees with UMD's Gavin Buersken.
Elementary school students planted over 1000 trees with help from Outdoor Education Instructor and UMD graduate Gavin Buersken.
“Well, I hope that they’re able to come out here in the next year, or even ten years,” said Outdoor Education instructor Gavin Buersken. “Then they can look back and think ‘I did that, I planted those trees.'”
The project aimed to inspire the next generation to make a positive impact on the environment. The trees were planted at Lowell and Marshall elementary schools.
