Enrollment is up for Minnesota State this fall

The positive momentum continues when it comes to enrollment at Minnesota State. 30 days into fall semester, they reported some numbers.

It’s up 9.3% at Minnesota State colleges, and 4.5% at Minnesota State universities. System wide, it’s an increase of 7.7%.

“We believe the increase in enrollment was driven by a number of factors,” said Scott Olson, chancellor of Minnesota State. “Quality academic programs, keeping our colleges and universities the most affordable, most accessible higher education options in the state, and outstanding relationships with the communities we serve were clearly among the keys.”

At Lake Superior College, they are seeing an increase of 3% in their core enrollment which includes their PSEO students.

Leaders there credit good recruiters, along with a family feel on campus.

After a decade of decline, there was an increase of 2.3% for the system last year.
