Esko’s Bread in the Meadow holds fundraiser for new commercial oven

At Holy Smokes Coffeehouse & BBQ in Cloquet, Bread in the Meadow, a bakery located in Esko, launched their crowdfunding campaign in efforts to raise money for a commercial oven.
Bread in the Meadow, owned by Stephen and Elizabeth Naglak, is transitioning their bakery from their home to a new commercial location. The state did not approve the use of their current oven for the new location, forcing the couple to purchase a new one.
“We’ve just really been supported by our community from the beginning. People have just been very supportive of our business and we like being a part of this community. And so, we’ve thought that maybe people would want to join in with us and sort of help us achieve, you know, this is sort of the final step in this oven that has the right certifications,” said Elizabeth Naglak.
The crowdfunding campaign began on March 22nd, and will run through April 19th, the Naglak’s hope to raise $15,000 to use towards the new oven. The new location for Bread in the Meadows is expected to be open in June. Click here to donate to Bread in the Meadow.
