Excavator used to battle house fire in Tower Thursday night

A house is considered a total loss after a fire broke out Thursday night.
According to the Northland Fire Wire, multiple fire departments responded to a house fire in the 500 block of 3rd Street South in Tower at 9:10 p.m.
An excavator was used to help put out the fire.
Tower, Breitung Township, Greenwood Township, Embarrass, Ely, Eagles Nest, Vermilion Lake, and Pike-Sandy-Britt fire departments all responded to the fire.
The Tower Ambulance Service also provided medical standby at the scene.
