Exciting business expansion in Hibbing for company called Advance Machine Guarding Solutions
Shovels are in the ground for a $9 million dollar manufacturing facility in Hibbing for AMGS.
A golden shovel moment on Thursday for Advance Machine Guarding Solutions in Hibbing and their new space, which will be a 35,000 square foot manufacturing facility in the North Hibbing Industrial Park.
The company manufactures steel machine guarding products like panels and doors, to protect people working in manfacturing.
AMGS plans on leasing the building from HEDA, which partnered on the $9 million dollar project with Iron Range Resources.
The company got its start in 2021, and owner Jason Wobbema said they are one of only two in the country who do this product.
They have 15 employees now, with plans to add at least a dozen more.
Construction will continue through early summer.
