Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaners Recalled

About 4.9 million Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaners sold in December and January have been recalled. The company is voluntarily recalling some products because a preservative was not added correctly during manufacturing. Now there is a risk of Pseudomonas species bacteria within the products which can affect people with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions. The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through a break in the skin. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected by the bacteria. 

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Fabuloso Multi-Purpose Cleaner products and contact Colgate-Palmolive Company for a full refund or a free replacement product. You can find the list of recalled products on the Fabuloso website as well as the consumer recall form. To receive a refund or replacement, consumers should take a picture of the product’s UPC and lot code and dispose of the product in its container with household trash. Do not empty the product prior to disposal.
