Man identified after fatal crash in Superior on Highway 2

The deceased SUV driver has been identified as 78-year-old John Joseph Myers.
Original Story: One person is dead after a car accident on Highway 2/East 2nd Street at 41st Avenue East in Superior.
According to authorities, a semi-truck and trailer with an SUV following behind it were both traveling east bound on U.S. Highway 2/East 2nd Street, near the intersection of 41st Avenue East in Superior.
The male driver of the SUV struck the back of the semi then left the roadway, sheering off into a light pole.
The male SUV driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died on the scene. The driver of the semi-truck sustained no injuries.
The crash is currently under investigation by the WI State Patrol and Superior Police Department.
