Fatal two-vehicle crash in Gilbert Monday evening

A fatal accident ocurred Monday night in Gilbert.
The Gilbert Police department says an adult female driver of a Ram pickup truck was unresponsive when they arrived on the accident scene on the 7400 block of highway 97 in Gilbert around 5:30 Monday night.
Lifesaving efforts were attempted on the scene but Police Chief Ty Techar said the woman was declared deceased by medical personnnel.
An adult male driver of a Ford pickup was uniinjured in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation by the Gilbert Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
Names will be released following the notification of next of kin.
