Festival of Trees is about gifting and giving
Junior League Duluth is again hosting the two-day Festival of Trees at the DECC this weekend.
“It’s kind of the kickoff to the holiday season,” President-Elect Lauren Farden said.
More than 170 local vendors will be there with everything from art and photography to baked goods to pet accessories.
“It’s a very holiday-themed event, but the vendor stuff that is being sold, some of it is holiday and a lot of it is not,” Junior League President Angela Engblom said.
Santa will be there to take free photos with kids, and the Strikepoint Bell Ensemble will perform too.
The festival is not just about shopping and gifting but also giving back.
“We bring food donations in that goes to Second Harvest Food Bank for the holiday season,” Farden said. “And then all the money that we bring in this weekend will go back into the community to support local nonprofits and community missions throughout the area.”
Festival of Trees is open from 9-5 on Saturday and costs $6. On Sunday, hours are 10-3, costing $4.
