A hot day out at the Nemadji Golf Course in Superior, but it was for a good cause.

On Friday, ark’s Inaugural Charity Golf Tournament benefiting STARBASE Minnesota-Duluth gave dozens of people the chance enjoy the game.

And at the same time, fundraise for this innovative education program at the 148th Fighter Wing. Thousands of area 5th graders head there each school year, and then there’s also a summer camp option.

Nancy Norr, who used to work for Minnesota Power, was one of the golfers. She shared that getting students interested in STEM is so important.

ark, formerly known as Involta, was proud to organize the event. Marjaana Dailey, the Marketing Coordinator, said, “It’s important for ark to be integrated in the communities we serve. STARBASE is a natural fit, because we work in tech.”
