Update: Fatal car crash victims identified

The two 23-year-olds found deceased after a Saturday morning car crash have been identified. Joseph David Trowbridge, from Woodbury, and Madison Joy Warren, from Oakdale, died in a car crash on Highway 8, near Floodwood.

Earlier story: At approximately 2:45 am Saturday morning, authorities received a report from an automated 911 call from an iPhone stating that the owner had been in a severe crash.

The vehicle was located on a curve near the 11500th block of Highway 8, near Floodwood.

Upon arrival, Deputies found 2 passengers deceased and the driver who was in critical condition and trapped inside. All of the occupants were 23-years-old.

The driver was airlifted to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, alcohol and speed appear to be contributing factors of the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
