Folks gather for Great Hall Marketplace at St. Louis County Depot
On Saturday December 16th, folks gathered at the St. Louis County Depot for the Great Hall Marketplace. With more than 60 local vendors people could do some holiday shopping with different works of art, crafts, and decorations.
Mary Tennis, the Director of the St. Louis County Depot said they are always looking to promote and feature more local artists.
“A lot of the stuff that’s here is very affordable. We have a lot of things that would qualify as stocking stuffers,” Tennis said. “Then we have really high quality gifts if you’re looking for that. So it’s really a special gift to give somebody that’s here, you’re going to find.”
Tennis said the event gets bigger and better every year especially with the help of local vendors in the community.
“This is the third time we’ve done this. And every year it’s grown and grown. I think the first year it was in the hundreds. Last year it was in the thousands. So we expect, 5,000 or 6,000 people turn out.”
If you would like to feature at the next event, you can begin contacting the depot now to secure a spot. Also for more information about the Great Hall Marketplace you can read more here. However, for other stories at the St. Louis County Depot you can read more here.
