Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College hosts first annual Ed Fest

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College hosted its first ‘Ed Fest” on Monday. The goal of the event was to provide local educators with knowledge on how to incorporate more indigenous teaching into the classroom. The event hosted several presentations, learning sessions and featured keynote speaker James Vukelich, the author of “The Seven Generations & the Seven Grandfather Teachings”.  Teacher of the Year Sarah Lancaster also spoke at the event. The learning sessions wrapped up with a community feast in the evening.
