Fond Du Luth’s charity donation to Duluth Salvation Army

The Duluth Salvation Army, just recently finished their annual holiday distribution days, but are still asking for donations. Fond Du Luth’s Make it a Point to Give campaign, however aims to support local charity organization in Duluth, with donations to help give back to the community.
The Fond Du Luth casino donated a check worth over sixteen-hundred dollars to the non-profit organization. Some of the organizations that receive these donations include the Toyland Express, Animal Allies and other charities.
Cyndi Lewis, the Development Director at the Duluth Salvation Army said Fond Du Luth’s generosity is appreciated. “We need donations all year round. Our programing goes all year round. We have housing programs, we have people living in our housing programs all year. We provide emergency assistance all year, we have food shelf all year.” Lewis said. She continued saying donations can help more than just the holiday season, but throughout the year.
Lewis also said that even though the Christmas distribution is over, donations will still go towards the Toyland Express. Specifically, money given will help provide toys for teens. Although the Duluth Salvation Army is always welcoming donations for their general services after the holiday season.
