Fraser Shipyards says repairs are complete on the Michipicoten, regulatory review underway
An update about the Michipicoten, which has now been repaired at Fraser Shipyards.
Leaders at Fraser Shipyards shared an update about the Michipicoten on Wednesday.
The vessel started taking on water back in June on Lake Superior. Authorities found a 13 foot crack in the hull.
She headed to Fraser Shipyards, where she was in drydock for some time. Right now, she’s back in the water.
“What I can say is that we did the repairs that were necessary, and right now she’s undergoing regulatory review. The future is looking bright,” said Nick Hickey, the VP of Business Development for Fraser.
When Dougall Media in Canada asked the owner about the vessel, the company said they no comment about the status of the ship.
