Paulucci Space Theater ready for the Statewide Star Party
The 2024 Statewide Star Party is coming up this weekend, and there are ways to enjoy it all through the Northland.
The Paulucci Planetarium in Hibbing is hosting an event on Thursday, September 12th, from 7-10pm
First there will be presentations about Saturn and the current night sky, and a short film about the telescope.
Then, when it gets dark, you can head out and use telescopes to check out the stars with members of the Range Astronomy Club.
“We’ll look at the quarter moon, and Saturn, and the Andromeda galaxy should be out,” Kevin Milani shared. He’s the Director of the Paulucci Space Theatre.
He added that being in rural Minnesota means there’s less light pollution when you’re trying to look at the night sky.
