Giants Ridge is using their new, $16.5 million dollar system that includes 74 snow guns that are automated.

You can control them with an app, making them more efficient and effective.

The equipment is from Snow Machines Incorporated, which sold the Ridge their first 14 snow guns in 1984.

Lakehead Constructors and their crews installed things over the summer, and despite challenges with flooding, kept things on time and safe.

A ribbon cutting with the Laurentian Chamber gave stakeholders a chance to mark the new era.

Funding from Iron Range Resources made the project possible, along with bonding dollars.

The Ridge is open for weekends for now, and starting December 20th, will be open 7 days a week.
