Gordy’s Hi-Hat opens for their 63rd season

After a long winter, Gordy’s Hit-Hat is serving their iconic burgers and celebrating their 63rd season of business.
At 10:00am on Wednesday, March 22nd a big crowd lined up for all that Gordy’s food. The opening of the restaurant is a sign that spring is coming in the Northland.
Leslie Chaplin, you is a returning customer says, “It’s just kind of that fun annual thing. You can’t always come to Gordy’s especially in the winter, so once they open it’s kind of the first sign of spring. And you feel like some of the celebration of summertime can begin.”
Sever Lundquist is Gordy’s grandson and still works with his brother and his father at the restaurant. He says the place is so successful because of all the devoted staff working there.
“We have an incredible staff that’s here with us and a couple of our head cooks have been with us for 40 year’s and a lot of our staff 20+ years, so we are just very blessed to have the employees that we have here. They are the reason we are able to serve so many customers is because when we open up for the year it’s like a well-oiled machine”, he says.
