Governor Evers approves improvement project on WIS 105
Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has signed a $4.18 million contract for a multi-year improvement project on WIS 105 from the Minnesota state line to Superior with contractor Monarch Paving Company of Amery. Construction is set to begin August 28.
Christena O’Brien, the Northwest Region Communications Manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation(WisDOT), said existing pavement is showing deterioration.
In 2024, a French drain will constructed and several repairs will be made. Upgrades to the select sidewalk curb ramp slopes will be done in 2025. Other additional curb, gutter, and guardrail removals and replacements will also take place.
Construction efforts in 2024 are scheduled for completion in November and then work will resume in the spring.
