Grand Avenue CVS in Duluth to close

CVS has announced they will be closing their 4528 Grand Avenue location in Duluth on January 28. This will include the store and the pharmacy.

For existing customers, Amy Thibault, Lead Director of External Communications with CVS, said all prescriptions will be transferred to the nearby CVS Pharmacy at 2631 Tower Avenue in Superior, Wisconsin to ensure patients have uninterrupted access to pharmacy care.

Customers can also choose another pharmacy of their choice.

“Maintaining access to pharmacy services in the communities we serve is an important factor we consider when making store closure decisions,” explained Thibault. “Other factors include local market dynamics, population shifts, a community’s store density, and ensuring there are other geographic access points to meet the needs of the community.

Thibault continued that the two remaining CVS locations in Duluth will remain open.
