Harley-Davidson Sports Center closing its doors after 73 years

Dennis and Suzanne Kachelmyers, the owners of Harley-Davidson Sports Center, announced the store will be closing its doors after 73 years.

Dennis and Suzanne Kachelmyers, the owners of Harley-Davidson Sports Center have served the Twin Ports for several decades. The Kachelmyers and their dedicated staff have provided the Twin Ports, Harley-Davidson® motorcycles, service, parts, and apparel. However, the Harley-Davidson Sports Center closing its doors after 73 years, according to a post on their Facebook and website.

According to the post the owners say “It saddens us to react to these challenging economic times. Being faced with the difficult decision to close our doors and wind down the business. It has been a true privilege to have been a part of so many lives, sharing excitement behind the handlebars of our Harleys!”

At the moment their regular business activity has ended, but they’re in the process of winding down their pre-existing business. These range from existing special orders, layby, service work orders, and remaining inventory, including motorcycles.
