Hartel’s donates $55,000 to help Salvation Army make its Christmas goal
The Salvation Army of Duluth is grateful for the donation from Hartel's that helped them hit their $250,000 Red Kettle Campaign goal.
The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign in Duluth brought in $195,000. That’s about $55,000 shy of their goal of $250,000.
After the numbers had been tallied on Christmas Eve, they got word from someone that they’d be making up the difference.
And on Friday, Hartel’s dropped off the big check.
The Salvation Army is very grateful for the help, as Hartel’s also donated $25,000 last year to help them reach their goals.
“We never assume people are going to donate again. But the magic of Christmas brings out the best in people,” Cyndi Lewis told us. She’s the Community Engagement Director.
