Help end childhood hunger by supporting Project Joy on Friday

Project Joy fundraiser coming up on Friday

Project Joy is asking you to Channel your Flannel again at their fundraiser on Friday.

Another chance to help stop childhood hunger involves food itself, at Project Joy’s fundraiser. The theme is once again, ‘Channel Your Flannel.’

They’ve really expanded their reach down to Moose Lake and up to the Range.

Laura Andrews, founder of Project Joy, “Hunger isn’t going away. Everything we can do to benefit the kids, brings me joy.”

Volunteer Deb Roach added that they’ve been supporting food pantries at Duluth schools.

Another retired teacher, Cathy Rikkola, got involved when she saw the need in her classrooms.

The event is Friday at the Duluth Curling Club, from 4-8pm. Tickets are $30 at the door.

Enjoy live music, food, silent auction, and games. There’s also a dessert auction this year.
