Hermantown woman creates Young Onset Parkinson’s Support Group
Sally Rollins was only 46-years-old when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. “I was a busy career woman, mom of two. I didn’t have time for Parkinson’s,” she recalled.
Eventually, she went on disability. And has found new purpose to help others who are navigating this journey as well.
She’s active in the Duluth Area Parkinson’s Support Group, and she and her husband Dale were the keynote speakers at Monday’s meeting at the Essentia Health Wellness Center in Hermantown.
But she also has started up the Young Onset Parkinson’s Support Group, which meets in the evenings.
The next one is Wednesday the 28th, at 6pm, at Salem Lutheran Church in Hermantown. 4715 Hermantown Road. They are usually held the 4th Wednesday of every month.
Rock Steady Boxing is coming to share how boxing can help slow the progression of the disease.
