Hibbing man faces five charges after high speed pursuit last week
A Hibbing man now faces five charges after a high speed pursuit from last week on the Range.
Authorities have charged Kaleb Sandy with fleeing a peace officer in a motor vehicle, reckless driving, damage to property, DWI, and obstructing the legal process.
This stems from last Thursday, when Sandy reportedly nearly hit a squad vehicle on Highway 37. He then fled away down 169 towards Chisholm, speeding at over 100 mph, according to the complaint.
Investigators said he nearly hit a construction crew working on the highway, and then hit a construction barrel that launched into another squad.
The complaint said Sandy laughed and said his actions “were no big deal,” after his arrest.
