Homemade explosives found in Aurora home during search warrant

On December 31st 2022, the officers of the East Range Police Department executed a search warrant. East Range Officers searched the residence on the 300 block of S 1st St E in Aurora, MN. During the search a homemade incendiary device and other explosives were located.
The Crow Wing County Bomb Squad responded to the scene and after a thorough search of the residence. The homemade explosives were removed and the residence was deemed safe. The incident was resolved with no injuries and presented no danger to the public.
One person was booked by the Saint Louis County Jail charges include Possessing Incendiary Device, Possessing Stolen Property and Burglary. All further inquiries may be made to the East Range Police Department.
