Bemidji Police identify homicide victim; Investigation continues
Update: The Bemidji Police Department has identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on August 10. According to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office, 29-year-old Jared William Eason of Bemidji died as a result of blunt force injuries.
The Bemidji Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
According to a release sent on August 15, Bemidji Police responded to a welfare check on the 1200 block of Minnesota Avenue NW where they found a man who was deceased. Detectives believe he died of homicidal violence, and are asking residents to check home surveillance for suspicious activity.
Authorities believe the incident happened on August 10, sometime between 8:00 pm to midnight in an area from 11th Street NW to 14st Street NW, and from Irvine Avenue NW to Bemidji Avenue NW.
Bemidji Police believe this is an isolated incident, do not believe there is any danger to the public, and consider this a random incident.
