Hoops Brewing hosts International Bonspiel

Hoops Brewing and the Duluth Curling Club kicked off their International Bonspiel Friday night. The tournament will last through the weekend and feature a variety of activities. Friday night’s opening ceremony included a welcome speech from Hoops Brewing owner Dave Hoops and a ceremonial throwing of the stone. This year, 40 teams will be competing in the bonspiel, including the Hoops Brewing team. Olympic curler Chris Plys will be playing for the Hoops team as well.

Members of the public are invited to watch the bonspiel games in person or online at the official watch site, Hoops Brewing. The games will also be streaming live on TVs in the Beer Hall at the brewing company all weekend.
