The Humane Society of Douglas County hosted their “Santa Paws” event today where families could have Christmas photos taken with their pet.

Directors say that family and pet photos were taken by Lady Jane Photography. Those who wished to have a photo taken first had to make a donation to the Humane Society of Douglas County.

All of the proceeds will help the Humane Society to cover medical costs of the animals they care for.

There were also ugly sweaters and other goodies for people to purchase and ejoy during the event.

The event also supporting local businesses. They had locally made fudge from Sweeden Sweets in Superior, specialty coffee from Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co., marshmallows from The Minnesota Marshmallow and hot cocoa from Mike and Jen’s.

The event was hosted by Campbell Lumber & Supply Company and was sponsored by Essentia Health.
