Blatnik Bridge closure delayed
Update: The I-535 Blatnik Bridge closure originally scheduled for August 15-16, has been rescheduled for August 19-20. The Blatnik Bridge will close from 6 a.m. Monday, August 19, through 6 a.m. Tuesday, August 20.
Original Story: The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) will be temporarily closing down lanes on I-35 and the I-535 Blatnik Bridge as part of the ongoing Twin Ports Interchange Project.
Single lane closures will occur on I-35 in both directions between 27th Avenue West and Garfield Avenue on Wednesday, August 14, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The I-535 Blatnik Bridge will close from 6:00 a.m. Thursday, August 15, through 6:00 a.m. Friday, August 16.
“This closure is needed to complete final bypass connections providing direct access to/from northbound and southbound I-35,” explained Stephanie Christensen with MnDOT.
