I-35 northbound to close at Twin Ports Interchange on Saturday

The northbound lanes of I-35 will close on Saturday, April 13 between 27th Avenue West and Garfield Avenue, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT). Southbound I-35 will be reduced to one lane and the on-ramp to northbound I-35 from 27th Avenue West will also be closed.

The closures will occur from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. as crews work to remove the bridge deck and install roadway signs over I-35.

MnDOT says people traveling northbound will follow the Hwy 2 Bong Bridge to Superior and then take the I-535 Blatnik Bridge back to Duluth. Detour signs will be put into place. The closure is for Saturday only.
