30 years ago, when they lived in Monticello, the Flicker family hosted an international exchange student named Pek. She’s from Bangkok, Thailand.

Now years later, she found them online, living in Grand Rapids, and wanted to come back and stay with them again. So Marie and Marn opened their home up. Their son, Jay even flew all the way up from Florida to spend time with her.

Marn says life is blessed when you can build lasting relationships like this one. Arriving in October, Pek even got to carve her first pumpkin.
